  Melissa Troup BHSII SM BA(Hons)
Centre Manager and Chief Instructor
Melissa joined Bedgebury in July 2007. She has a wealth of experience teaching children, adults and career students of all abilities. She had two equine text books published in 2006 and is currently writing for the British Horse Society. Melissa is promoting a very friendly, enthusiastic environment to make riding accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Sally Ann Sanders BHSPI
Sally Ann has recently returned to Bedgebury to further develop her qualifications. She has been working in America teaching riding at holiday camps, and enjoys taking all lessons, especially children.
Martine Dawlings BHSAI Int.SM
Martine started at Bedgebury in April 2008 following a family move to Kent. She has a wealth of experience, having gained her BHSAI in the early 90', has been a Pony Club Instructor, List One Judge for Riding Club Riding Tests & Equitation Jumping. A Grade 1-3 Examiner. She has also been a BHS County Rep for Riding & Road Safety.
Mary Anne Horn BHSI (T & SM)
Mary Anne works midweek at Bedgebury training students for their BHS exams. She is a BD List 1 dressage judge and a Regional Trainer.
Gillian James BA(Hons), BHSAI Int.I., Int.SM
Gillian works at Bedgebury now as a part-time instructor, but has been involved with the Centre for over well over a decade in various capacities. She has helped many past students and Bedgebury 6th formers through their PTT and Stage III Exams, and has run part-time Evening Courses towards BHS Exams.
Gillian has many strings to her bow, having taught an evening English A Level course at college, and completing an EFL course. Gillian has also been producer/director of the musical rides and pantomimes that Bedgebury have held over the years, helping to raise over £5,000 for the Kent Air Ambulance.
Alice Mardell BHS St2
Alice works part time on a Saturday and takes private lead outs for tiny tots who are new to riding. The children adore her!
Lizzie Cottingham BHSAI
Lizzie gained her BHSAI in 1998, and joined us in April 2008 as a part-time instructor. Lizzie's interests include showing, and she has qualified hacks and ponies for RIHS and HOYS.
Vicki Lock BHSPI
Vicki joined us in May as a part-time instructor, and combines her teaching with a rosette-making business. Vicki is in demand as a judge at local shows.
Carli Kent BHSAI
Carli teaches part time at Bedgebury and also came through the working pupil system, developing into groom and then instructor status. Carli's enthusiasm and passion for horses is infectious for everyone around.
Carli has taken time away from teaching to work on an Event Yard, but hopes to be back teaching part-time here in the future.
